Terms and conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between RentRite (“RentRite”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and the customer (“Customer”, “you”, “your”) regarding the rental of products through our website and services. These Terms become effective from the date of product delivery and remain in force until all rented products are returned in acceptable condition and acknowledged by RentRite’s quality team.
By placing an order on RentRite.in, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Orders
- Placing an order and completing payment does not guarantee product delivery. Delivery is subject to successful KYC verification, product availability, and serviceability of your location.
- You authorize RentRite to verify your identity and details through internal checks or third-party service providers as required.
- RentRite reserves the right to accept or reject any order at its sole discretion without assigning any reason. In case of rejection, any security deposit collected will be refunded to the original payment source within 7 working days.
2. Delivery
- Products will be delivered to the address provided in your account or order.
- You or your authorized representative must be present at the delivery location with valid ID proof. If someone else receives the delivery, a written authorization may be required.
- If delivery needs to be rescheduled due to customer unavailability or failure to meet delivery requirements, additional delivery or handling charges may apply.
- You must inspect the product at the time of delivery. Any damage or defect must be reported immediately. Claims made after acceptance of delivery may not be entertained.
- You are responsible for ensuring access permissions, parking availability, elevator access, and safe entry to the premises.
3. Security Deposit
- A refundable, interest-free security deposit may be collected at the time of booking.
- The deposit will be refunded within 3 working days after product pickup and successful quality inspection, subject to deductions for:
- Pending rent
- Late fees
- Damage or repair charges
- Missing accessories or parts
- The security deposit cannot be used to offset rent during an ongoing rental period.
4. Communication
- Order confirmations, invoices, service updates, and other communications will be sent to your registered email address, phone number, or WhatsApp.
- You are responsible for keeping your contact details updated in your account to avoid service disruptions.
5. Rent Payment
- Rent payments must be made only through RentRite’s official website or authorized payment links.
- Unless otherwise stated, rent is postpaid. Invoices are raised at the end of each billing cycle and must be paid on or before the due date mentioned in the invoice.
- Late payments may attract late fees and/or suspension of services.
6. Pro-rata Rent
- Rent for the first month will be calculated on a pro-rata basis from the date of delivery until the end of the billing cycle.
- Upon cancellation or product pickup, the final month’s rent will be calculated on a pro-rata basis up to one day prior to the pickup date.
7. Late Fees
- A late fee may be levied on overdue invoices after the due date.
- RentRite reserves the right to revise late fees and penalties from time to time by updating the website.
8. Sharing of Information
RentRite may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Credit & Verification Agencies: In case of non-payment, defaults, or disputes, RentRite may report relevant information to verification agencies or financial partners where legally permitted.
- Third-Party Service Providers: RentRite may share limited personal information with logistics partners, service technicians, payment gateways, and IT service providers strictly for fulfilling services.
- Related Parties: If a customer defaults on payments or becomes untraceable, RentRite may contact references or emergency contacts provided by the customer to locate or recover rented products.
RentRite will never sell your personal data to unrelated third parties.
9. Service & Maintenance
- RentRite will provide service support during the rental tenure upon request.
- Maintenance or repair requests will be addressed within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 3 working days.
- If a product cannot be repaired, RentRite may provide a replacement subject to availability.
- Any damage caused due to misuse, negligence, or unauthorized repair will be chargeable to the customer.
10. Continuation of Rental
- Customers may continue renting products beyond the initially selected tenure unless otherwise stated.
- The monthly rent applicable at the time of booking shall continue to apply for the extended period unless revised by RentRite with prior notice.
11. Cancellation
- Customers must submit a cancellation request through their account or customer support at least 10 days in advance to enable smooth pickup and closure.
- Short-notice cancellation requests may attract additional pickup or processing charges.
- Early closure of subscriptions before completion of the selected tenure may attract early termination charges as displayed on the website at the time of booking.
12. Damages & Loss
- Customers are responsible for maintaining rented products in good condition.
- The customer shall bear the repair or replacement cost for any damage beyond normal wear and tear.
- Normal wear and tear includes minor scratches, discoloration, or cosmetic defects that do not affect functionality.
- In case of theft, loss, or irreparable damage, the customer shall be liable to pay RentRite the prevailing market value of the product.
- Any unauthorized repair, tampering, or removal of branding, labels, or serial numbers shall be treated as damage and may attract penalties.
13. Inspection
RentRite reserves the right to inspect rented products during the rental period with reasonable prior notice. The customer shall provide access to the premises for such inspections.
14. Relocation
- If the customer relocates, a relocation request must be submitted at least 7 days in advance along with proof of the new address.
- Relocation is subject to verification, approval, and serviceability of the new location.
- Relocation charges may apply based on distance, logistics, and complexity.
15. Termination
RentRite reserves the right to terminate this agreement immediately if:
- The customer defaults on rent or other dues
- The customer breaches any terms of this agreement
- The customer fails to return products when required
Consequences of Termination:
a) RentRite may immediately repossess the rented products
b) All outstanding dues shall become immediately payable
c) The security deposit shall be refunded after deductions for damages and pending dues
RentRite may also terminate this agreement without cause by providing 30 days’ notice.
16. Ownership
All rented products remain the exclusive property of RentRite at all times. This agreement does not transfer ownership to the customer. The customer must immediately notify RentRite if any product is threatened with seizure or legal attachment and indemnify RentRite against any loss.
17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
18. Assignment
The customer may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations under this agreement without written consent from RentRite. RentRite may assign this agreement to third parties, including financial institutions or service partners, without prior notice.
19. Indemnification
The customer agrees to indemnify and hold RentRite harmless against any claim, loss, damage, expense, or liability (including legal costs) arising from misuse, negligence, or unauthorized handling of the rented products, except where caused by RentRite’s gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with RentRite’s Privacy Policy and website policies, constitute the entire agreement between RentRite and the customer. RentRite reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time by updating them on the website. Continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
21. Limitation of Liability
RentRite shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages including loss of profits, revenue, or data. RentRite’s total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount of one month’s rent paid by the customer for the relevant product.
